Places associated with T. E. Lawrence in Dorset
Bovington Camp
Lawrence served at Bovington Camp from 1922-5, but almost nothing remains of the
camp as he would have known it. Bovington is now famous for the Tank Museum,
which is one of Dorset's top visitor attractions. The museum holds a Rolls Royce armoured car and a Brough Superior motor-cycle (not
one of Lawrence's). A special Lawrence exhibit was recently dismantled, but is
to be reinstated at a new location.
